Born on Prince Edward Island and raised in Halifax, Canadian singer/songwriter
Jenn Grant rose to local attention in 2005 with her jazzy,
Feist-influenced folk/pop. Although originally self-released, her first EP earned
Grant a contract with Paris 1919 Records, which released the full-length album
Orchestra for the Moon in 2007.
Grant then jumped ship for Six Shooter Records, releasing the sophomore effort Echoes two years later. The Songs for Siigoun EP, named in honor of her fiancé's newborn niece, arrived in 2010, followed by her third full-length studio album, Honeymoon Punch, in 2011, and fourth outing, The Beautiful Wild, in 2012.
