Sony BMG's two-disc
Falco collection will appeal to longtime fans of the Austrian pop star, though the 34 tracks that make up
Hoch Wie Nie: Best of Falco may be a bit much for listeners who only know the flamboyant and classically trained child prodigy's early-'80s international smash "Rock Me Amadeus." Both "Der Kommissar" and "Vienna Calling" made the charts, and both are included here, but there's an awful lot of filler (remixes, radio edits, an updated version of
David Bowie's "Heroes" "Helden von Heute," etc.), making 1999's single-disc
Greatest Hits overview the more rewarding listen.
